A little bit of a challenge building
6 of 6 found this helpful Hi all! So the kit was very good and the end product looks fantastic! It included all the pieces as per the instructions, however although I’m very good at building things which involve puzzles (e.g. measured and. installed all of the plantain shutters in my flat) when following steps 1 &2 (see pics) I couldn’t get the long wooden supporting frames (2x E & 2 x G) to line up with the pre-drilled holes on the four pieces (C) attached to the table top. I thought I would have to drill holes but then decided to build the base upside down first, flip it, slide in the pieces labelled C and then add the table top (A). Make sure you don’t tighten the Fs until you’ve got everything in place. Once I did it this way I managed to pull and push the wood into place to line up the holes and everything worked fine. You may find that if in step 1 you leave the screws very loose that in step two you can push E&G into place. I didn’t try this. Also whenever putting your screws in two
at a time, I would push both through and then add your bolts. The whole thing took me around 3 hours which hopefully you can cut down with this alternative approach! Good luck!
Last thing I will say is it would be great if the courier could provide actual tracking info so you know when to be home for delivery. I was told an estimate of Wed-Thurs and the item turned up the next day on Tuesday. I then had to spend 25 minutes on hold to rebook for the next day so I could make sure I was home. It came pretty early the next day which was a super.
