1 of 1 found this helpful This chuck is definitely made in Chinia, but it does run in the .003 runout which is fine for what I do. The price seemed ok for a six jaw ($300.) The only negitive thing I noticed were all the sharp edges around the six jaws. The question about "would you recommend this item?" I guess it all depends on what type of work your doing. Does it compare to my Bison, no it doesn't.

Tried to save $
I tried to save a few bucks and it backfired. I couldn't see spending 80 bucks on loc pic's, so I bought the cheep set. Not the best quality steel, they bend with heavy pressure. Maybe they would be fine for the newbe but not me.
