Well made, not many options to use
2 of 2 found this helpful These are very solid and fit perfectly since they are an oem part. My only complaint is that there are not more box link compatible devices. What I'd like is a sort of fitting for me to bolt to my own designs. it's unfortunate but Ford probably patented the thing and locked out the open market.

Fine when it works, but difficult to rely one
I cannot get it to pick up some channels that my tv's can pick up. Oddly the issue is related to "strong" channels. I have a signal amplifier and it won't lock on the strongest channels. My tv has no issues with those. But since it does, I have to turn the amplifier down to about 50%. At that point the unit won't lock on the weak channels and even my tv's have difficulty. They apparently did some kind of local signal amplification in the hdhomerun that causes this. So I have to choose between what channels I want to detect on the HDHomeRun and how that choice will impact the tv's which are direct attached to the amplified antenna signal.
The second issue is a flaw in the dlna server it contains. When playing back via a dlna media player if the signal has even a brief issue it just disconnects. I can hit play again and it restarts, but couldn't they have just tried to ride it out for a half second? Send a still screen if they have to or something. Playing back on the tv from the antenna directly I might see a graphics glitch but the set doesn't halt and require me to say "try again". Fine tuning this behavior seems fundamental for a device that processes OTA.
