Solid board, good features, versitile
I was looking for a mobo which could be run under mac os and this is one that is widely used for that. I have it paired with an Intel Core2 quad and it's running Snow Leopard, thanks to iATKOS S3. The DS3L is a similar board, but with more features.

Solid old gear should last a long time
I like the solid build, the protection circuitry, and that it's made in USA. I also like the external power option.
When I keep my USB sound interface plugged into this, it doesn't go to sleep and get lost, which is handy.
