Excellent for price. Good short focus. Poor eye piece covers.
My much loved 45 year old Leica 10x50 binoculars have the one fault of very poor short focus. I find that the Monarch 7 is not quite as sharp and is a little heavier. It is still for the excellent for the price. I will use these for most purposes because of the their much batter short focus. The only thing I don't like is the eye cap cover piece which is very loose.
