undermount rangehood success
Due to small expectations of my owner-built kitchen, I needed an undermount rangehood for its small dimensions and then built a canopy type cabinet around it. It works fine but you do see vapours going up beside the canopy. Clearly, if I had more extensive overhead cabinets, the hood would work better. But it's lovely and does the job. The LED lights are about right intensity and on higher powers the machine clears the air (ducted outdoors in my case). As I had previously bought a fixed rangehood that didn't fit, I can see the undermount only has a baout half the filter surface area of the 'normal' one.
