Good build quality, great images, nice value for the money!
I was looking for a wide angle lens that I could use for outdoors and some portrait photography.
Of course Canon L glass would be nice, but sometimes budgets get in the way.
I like the fact that it is fast at 2.8, so I can use in less than optimum lighting situations. The zoom seems to be smooth with no creep.
I also use a Tamron 28 - 300mm and love the lens. I have shot several thousand images and anticipate using the new lens the same way.
The lens is a bit soft zoomed to 35mm, but nothing that I am concerned about.
Great lens, very reliable.

Great Media Server

I have a Macbook Pro, my wife a Macbook. We both have have IPads.
I bought this to replace an old HP desktop that couldn't provide what I needed.
This unit is running software called SuperSync. This allows us to sync our ITunes libraries on both laptops and then drive the media through our Apple TV2 and sound system hooked up to our TV.
The Imac functions as a media server. It works flawlessly.
I have worked with computers since, well way too many years. What I like about Apple is the stuff just works. Never crashes, never spending hours trying to make cranky computers work.
It is great to have computers that are stable and never need attention to keep running.
