Rediscovering 5.1 Surround mixes
1 of 1 found this helpful I have recently started listening to and collecting surround mixes of albums I have listened to in stereo for years. I love the way the 5.1 provides a larger sound stage and makes the music seem closer to live as it does on Harvest.
That all said not all 5.1 mixes are created equal and sometimes even on good ones an instrument or a voice coming separately from a place different from your years of stereo listening can be surprising.
