Excellent Fab Four Film plus an awesome soundtrack, an easy 10 out of 10.
I thoroughly enjoyed this DVD. It's the second Beatle's movie after the first "Hard Day's Night". This was directed by the same director who did that film as well, Richard Lester. The original title of the movie was "8 arms to hold you" but after McCartney & Lennon wrote a catchy little tune by the name of "HELP" it was set in stone that this was to be the movies' title. The movie seems to be a little less cohesive than the first one but it still works. Filmed in color this movie shines from the 1st frame free of dirt, dust, grime and the restoration was a complete success. Ringo has a new ring. The leader of a Religious Eastern cult thinks this is the key element in a human sacrifice and they will stop at nothing to obtain it. Meanwhile a mad Scientist and his assistant are after the ring as well believing that....dare I utter this.......that if he has it he can RULE THE WORLD. All the songs are performed in different locations around the world, from England to the Bahamas and then onto a snowy Austrian mountain side. A great selection of songs performed in the movie include, "Help!", "The Night Before", "I Need You", "Another Girl", "You're Gonna Lose That Girl", "You've Got To Hide Your Love Away", "She's A Woman" and "Ticket To Ride". What a wonderful soundtrack, huh. Some whimsical moments in the movie are Paul being shrunk to the size of a chewing gum wrapper, George on a snowy mountainside on skis wearing a top hat. John fishing a "season ticket" out of his soup then saying "I always like a lot of seasoning in me soup", LOL and on and on. This movie really does make them look like the English equivalent to the U.S.'s Marx brothers. All in all this film works and comes with a ton of extras and features on the restoration of the DVD, interviews and behind the scenes with some of the principle players, trailers, hidden Radio adds are among the Easter eggs in this DVD set. If you're a Beatle fan then this is a 10 out of 10. If you're a movie fan then the DVD is a 10 out of 10. So you can't lose. Pick up a copy and I'm sure you'll be singing along with the songs in no time. This was smack dap in the middle of Beatle mania and you catch a glimpse of it in the movie. The Fab hold their own among the professional actors and the music is second to none. Excellent DVD.

Classic tube Mic that will make your vocals sound warm and smooth.
Wonderful Mic for Vocals and other applications. this mic will perform excellent in the studio for you. I bought this mainly for vocal's since I think tube Mics give Vocals such a warm and full sound to your vocals. Hook this up to a very good pre-amp and you will nOT be dissipointed with the results at all but the trick to getting a good vocal track is having a very good pre-amp. Think of it this way, you're only as strong oas your weakest link. The K2 adds a touch of that classic analog character into your recordings, feeding a signal into your interface that's extremely detailed, but sweetened by genuine tube-driven circuitry. There's not a plug-in in the world that can emulate this sound. With a K2 at the front of your signal path, you'll be starting with professional-sounding tracks instead of trying to polish "ok" audio. Frequency Response: 20 Hz ~ 20 kHz The external power supply features a continuously-variable polar pattern selector, making the Rode K2 one of the most versatile studio tools in any price-range. In the cardioid pickup position the K2 is a stunning vocal microphone, smooth, airy, and flattering for both male and female voices. At figure-eight it's the perfect choice for a wide range of acoustic instruments including guitar, strings and piano. At the omnidirectional position the Rode K2 makes a phenomenal room mic, or can accurately and pleasingly capture the most notorious of instrument sources like harp or upright bass. Do yourself a favor and pick this Mic up and you wil not be disapointed it s a great Mic and cando it all.

The product of brilliant acting, exquisite writing and perfect direction.
Taxi Driver is an outstanding film. The kind that they just don't make anymore. Everything that could possibly go right while making a movie DID in this one. You have stand out performances by Robert DeNiro who plays a lonely tortured ex-Marine cab driver named Travis Bickle. The visual of DeNiro standing in front of a mirror practicing how he's going to react to someone is one scene that is etched in people's memories forever. Watching the guns spring out from under his sleeves standing in front of the mirror with his iconic Mohawk saying over and over again, "You talking to ME", "You talking to ME", "You MUST be talking to ME because I'm the only one standing here". DeNiro readies himself for violence. Simply one of DeNiro's best performances on film and this actor has numerous brilliant roles all throughout his career. The director Martin Scorsese really came into his own while making the movie as well. His gritty depiction of New York's dirty underbelly showcases sad and lonely characters who fight their way through each day. DeNiro plays Travis Bickle, a self-appointed vigilante who makes it his business to rid New York of the filth and decay that populates it. He becomes a Guardian Angel to a young prostitute played by the 12 year old actress, Jodie Foster, who by no coincidence went on to win 2 Best Actress Oscars for her acting later on in life. Looking out after her leads Bickle into violently devastating consequences. Rounding out this perfect trifecta of Director, Lead Actor and Screenplay writer is the brilliant Paul Schrader who went on to become a successful Director himself. This excellent Masterpiece is not for everyone's taste. But for the ones who do take the opportunity to watch this unique vision of New York's desperate characters fighting their way through life, battling against everyone including themselves, then they will walk away in awe of the talent of the actors, of the exquisite writing and the delicate direction by Scorsese who guides this movie to New Heights with the slightest of touch. Scorsese likes to work with friends and professionals again and again and in this one you'll see not only Robert DeNiro but one of his other "go to" actors that he counts on regularly, Mr. Harvey Keitel who only helps elevate this film to new heights as well.
