Book eight, the last book of the Outlander series

Since I bought this book I am halfway through it - I just can't put the book down for long, it is so compelling and interesting. I have read the Outlander books from book one right through to this book eight. I don't want to give any Spoilers but this book deals with the American War of Independence between the English Redcoats and the Continentals (Americans) and the parts played in it by the regular characters including Jamie & Claire Fraser. The descriptions given by the author Diana Gabaldon deals with real issues and real happenings that it brings this war right to you and you can see it as you read about it. I hope Gabaldon decides this isn't the last book and writes a ninth book. Of course while this war is raging we have chapters of other well known characters and what they are doing, you certainly never get bored - Diana Gabaldon doesn't allow it, too much happening in time travelling to 'then' and 'now'. I highly recommend 'Written In My Own Heart's Blood' because you will be riveted by all the action, adventure and time travelling. If I could, I would give this book ten stars **********
