AMAZING AND UNDER RATED!!
1 of 1 found this helpful OK, THE MACGREGOR BRAND IS KINDA UP IN THE AIR THESE DAYS, BUT, THESE MACTEC WOODS ARE MONEY. THE MACTEC NVG2 WOODS HAVE A TITANIUM CUP FACE, AND ARE ALL OVER EBAY FOR PRACTICALLY NOTHING. MACGREGOR IS SOOOO UNDER RATED THESE LAST FEW YEARS, ITS SUCH A SHAME. THESE WOODS ARE VERY LONG AND ACCURATE. I PLAY THE 5 WOOD AND THE 3 WOOD IN MY BAG STILL TO THIS DAY!!! THE STOCK SHAFTS ARE JUST OK, BUT ITS STILL WORTH IT. THEY HAVE A NICE MEDIUM TO HIGH BALL FLIGHT, AND THEY HAVE PRETTY GOOD FEEL. JUST AS A SIDE NOTE, THE TOUR EDGE EXOTICS WOODS ARE DESIGNED EXACTLY THE SAME WITH A TITANIUM CUP FACE ON THE WOODS. YOU WILL SAVE BOUT 300.00 BUCKS IF U BUY THE MACS!!! AND THEY ARE JUST AS LONG!!! ENJOY..

EASY MAC!
26 of 26 found this helpful I got the 685's after trying them on a demo day. Ive played many irons, and when i saw these i had to try them. They are very pleasing to the eye in my opinion. they set up well, with a thin top line. very refined iron. they are forged, and they feel softer than a cavity casted club, but not as butter soft as a true true forged iron. That said, they are also much more forgiving than a tru tru forged club. so you give a little softness away, but you get it all back and then some on the forgivness side. very nice ball flight, medium flight with the 7-P, and medium to high with the 3-6. distance is also very good, im bout half a club to a club longer with this set. I am an 8 hndcp. hope this helped you guys outthere wondering bout these macgregors.
