The Dante Club
Great read. An impressive first novel. Sometimes the plot line was unclear, some of the characters were underdeveloped, but it all came together and the finale was good. A litte bit Dante-intensive. You would have to be a fanatic about Inferno to really enjoy this book. Definitely a must for Dante enthusiasts, because of great insight into Dante's world and his perspective in writing The Divine Comedy.

Unputdownable
Yes, I just made up a word. This book will grip you and draw you in to a fresh look at the legend of Dracula. The book is fantastic and mimics Stoker's journal set-up. Astonishing facts from history combined with Kostova's full-throttle imagination made this book compelling and provocative.

Astonishing
1 of 1 found this helpful I have always been a Poe enthusiast, and, as such, obsessed with the mystery surrounding his death. The facts this book uncovers are astonishing. I thought this book was fascinating. Pearl definitely opened up his style and deepened his plot in his second book.
