Quick and Easy Installation
Installed with a couple of tools- an 8MM and a screwdriver. Simple to do and all I had to change over was the little lever that stops the ice from overflowing.

Worked just as described
Quick and easy to install. Snug them down to make sure you don't strip the keeper bolts and you're ready to mount your windshield!

Nice solid bumper- brackets aren't what I expected because drilling SHOULDN'T be required
The double-tube bumper seems well put together and the powder coating seems uniform. Time will tell if it is done properly.
The brackets that mount to the hole-filled rear frame of the Jeep only match two of the holes- the outer ones (see photo). If you want to mount the other one or two, you have to drill more holes in your frame. Which has your fuel tank sitting directly behind it. The instructions say "put something between there when you drill."
That's absurd.
There are three other holes per side on the YJ and a TJ that would easily accommodate those other bolts if the bracket were only a little bigger. I know because on my Wrangler Door Carrier (dot com), I have brackets that have ALL those holes in in and you can pick and choose which three or four you want to use to fit YJ and TJ model Wranglers.
Cutting costs by making the bracket small and requiring YOU drill new holes.
Another issue I have is the SmittyBilt bumper is actually ChineseBilt. I had no idea these were made in China. If that bugs you (it does me) then you might want to get a different brand bumper.
More cost cutting.
