Honda VTEC Solenoid Gasket - Genuine OEM Part 36172-P08-015
After renewing the oil pan gasket, I still had a small oil leak from the engine in my 1999 Honda Civic.
This solenoid gasket (like a double 'O' ring) solved that problem - no more oil drips on the garage floor.
Easy to fit; 5 minute job.

Raco 6L Pressure Cooker - 504700
I like boiling lamb and beef off-cuts for soups and stock and this cooker does it effectively and really in less than half the time of an open pot, with meat falling off and bones looking dry in about two hours or less.
Using a pressure cooker, the water mainly stays in the cooker - very little actually escapes in the form of steam (aim to set the hotplate temperature for some steam but not too much).
The main and auxiliary handles make it easy to move this around, and when cooking is finished, the rubber seal comes easily out of the lid for cleaning.
The pot and lid are constructed of stainless steel, and the heavy heat-spreading base (at least on the outside) looks to be stainless steel as well.
The handles are bakelite (like most saucepan handles).
A review of this product on another website made me think the steam valve might have been inadequate and likely to break, but having used it now I don't so. The pressure control mechanism is plastic moulded over metal, and so it might suffer if dropped on a hard surface, but so far for me there are no hints of any problems.
There is a child-proof lock on the handle to prevent the lid being removed as well.
No more open-pot boiling for me!
