Dated, obsolete specific brand and model material.
Dated, obsolete content. Deals with specific model and brand of consumer electronic devices of the 1980's. Color tv's, black & white tv's, cassette machines and other old equipment that may not exist anymore. Only good if you have electronic equipment from the 1980's that need to be repaired. Unlikely that it will help to troubleshoot modern equipment because the repairs are very brand and model specific. Should have been a more general troubleshooting treatise that could be applied to many electronic equipment.

DISSAPOINTING LACK OF THE MOST IMPORTANT RESOURCE
Not to the high standards set by Howard Chapelle in his excellent books. A book about traditional boats needs to show lines plans for the models discussed in it. If a photo equal a thousand words, a lines plans equals ten thousand words. There is not a single lines plan in this book, just a few pictures of some boats, and very small sketches which are so dark ( most of them), that no details can be seen. Perhaps the author thought that these free hand sketches of boats were good enough, but they are not.
If you want to see the shape of these boats, you will have to use your imagination, because the author simply did not care enough. The history could be correct, but the illustrations suck big time. Or maybe it was the publisher that told him not to show lines plans just to save paper. Whichever, the book is a total disappointment.
