Advance Equity Electric Alarm Clock Model 33100
Overall I am happy with the Advance Equity Electric Alarm Clock Model 33100 (imported by La Crosse). The clock is excellent and has a snooze feature. It does, however, have one problem. The blue night light, which cannot be turned off, is excessively bright (even visible in bright sunlight). But, not to worry, fortune sometimes smiles on the curious. With the clock unplugged (for safety), the owner can pop off a bottom panel and remove the blue LED from the socket. In theory, the LED can be replaced by a soft white or yellow LED (or, if no night light is desired, use a black light...just kidding about that one). I simply left the LED out, inserted the bottom panel and am quite happy with a night light-less clock. Undoubted this voids the warranty (two years), but how much do you value the warranty on an under $20 electric clock? If it works for a day out of the box, it will likely run fine for at least 10 years. I prefer a usable (for me) clock over having a warranty on one that I would not use.
