This stand is what I needed, and it does the job well.

The stand works as intended, and works well. Since the stand needs to be assembled, someone needs to have some assembly skills, along with a few basic tools. The instructions that come with the stand recommend having two people to assemble it, although I put my stand together without anybody else.

Great for music, but outstanding for spoken audio (audio books, lectures, etc.)

I listen to a lot of spoken audio, as well as music. I love these players, and I have many of them. Pros: The controls are easy to use without looking at the device, to move forwards and backwards, and to rewind or fast forward, as well as to control the volume. So if I am walking, I can leave it my pocket. If I am driving, it can stay in my lap. I like that the battery is standard AAA. I use rechargeable batteries, but I I don't have one handy, I can use a regular battery. The device plugs into a USB port, and it appears as another drive on my computer, etc. So it is easy to add and remove files. It plays MP3 and WMA audio files. It has 4 folders, so you can put everything in one folder and play the files in order, or randomly, and it can repeat. Or, you can split up your files into the different folders, and within each folder, play the files in order, randomly, etc., with repeats. Cons: The device uses a USB 1 connection, so it is slow to load audio files. The screen is small, but it is still useable.

Works great to label cables

Works great to label cables, or even to lable cabels. I use a super-fine point Sharpie pen to write on the labels, with no problems.
