Better than crutches but...
1 of 1 found this helpful Great video instructions for assembley, attaching and learning. Company gets high marks for saftey and admits not for everyone.
That said it does take a good deal of effort compared to a "knee scooter", and really have to watch your step. If the peg leg foot scuffs the floor or ground you could easily take a tumble possibly worsening your injury.
Lastly, the strap design is not as simple as made out in the instructional videos. You will be adjusting both straps on each strap every time and they tend to loosen by themselves frequently.
