1967 Swedish romantic tragedy based on a true story
It's been a long time since I watched this Swedish 1967 film, about a beautiful 19th century tightrope walker who falls in love & runs away with a soldier, a noble. It is based on the lives of Hedvig Jansen & Sixten Sparre. It's a romantic tragedy famous for it's classical music soundtrack.

See this Norwegian thriller
I have always loved this thriller. I seem to be on a blu-ray rampage so grabbed this. One of the screenplay writers (and the director) wrote Occupied, many years later, now streaming on Netflix. Writing is what matters to me, though Stellan Skarsgård stars. In any case this 1997 Norwegian movie was remade for English-speaking audiences by Christopher Nolan. Pacino starred. Now that Netflix has introduced America to foreign movies and television, maybe more people will start watching the original foreign-language movies and tv series they were based on.
