Well, it cooks rice, but
This rice cooker is what all Japanese people from the 60's and early 70's remember well. However, back then the wall thickness of the pot was very thick so the heat distribution was such that you didn't burn the rice on the bottom of the pot. This unit has a very thin walled pot so the rice at the bottom is always either brown or rubber like. I tried everything from no soaking of the rice to 20 minutes of soak to adding more water. I could never achieve rice as in my smart cooker with all sorts of logic which I'm sure ramps the temperature up and down during the cook cycle. The good news is that it's very inexpensive and it does cook rice. I'd say that you can't go wrong at this price but I had to complain about something. 3 stars. BTW, my lid is metal not class as in the picture. It appears that it's very difficult to purchase a smart cooker from a Japanese brand. Until then, I'll use this. Finally, it's the icon for a rice cooker so you can't go wrong. Got Rice?

It works
I have a 2005 NISSAN Pathfinder and it installed easy. It works as advertised. I did have an issue and the tech support was very good. It turns out that I was an idiot because the door lock kept unlocking but it was because I was testing with door open. Anyway support was available and they were willing to replace it or offered a return as well.
