super sharp DX zoom lens
Pros:
- super sharp
- fast auto focus
- constant f/2.8
- 77 mm filters
Cons:
- heavy
- pricey
I read several reviews that this lens is super sharp. It is! It is a DX lens, but if you have a DX body, this is much sharper than the 18-55 kit lens. My 18-300 has lots of zoom range, but the images do not compare to this 17-55.
I am very happy with it.

Great FX body upgrade
I was looking for a Nikon FX body that used the EN-EL15 batteries. The D610 is just what I was looking for. It has good resolution, and very high image quality.
