You need a film camera, this one is fantastic.
1 of 1 found this helpful This is my first film camera, and so far I am loving it. I am happy to say that the camera isn't that large. It isn't as small as a disposable film camera but it is small enough that it is not much of a hinderance to carry around. It doesn't have too many buttons, take that as a positive or negative, I find it nice. Furthermore, there is not a true manual mode, which for me is a little sad but honestly not a big deal at all because I do not know how to calculate the correct exposure with film (I am a digital born shooter). At least I believe there to be no manual mode, only a shutter priority mode, but I could be wrong. The build quality I quite nice, I don't have any complaints so far.
This being my first time shooting with film, its a feeling every photographer should try. The exhilaration you get when you ponder whether or not to take a shot is fantastic. It causes you to think carefully about the each shot which I think is a very good practice for every photographer. Also since on my first roll of film I only had 24 ish shots, it forced me to take photos I would previously shy away from. For the first time I took pictures of random people (not being a creep, street photography). I have been petrified for a long time to take pictures of random people, but finally I have done it. I don't have my photos yet, but I am hopping they will yield more interesting and rewarding photos. Now I don't think I would ever shoot with film for an event, or something where I need to hit a certain high level quality. But I would definitely shoot film in instances where I can be experimental, as I think film could yield better results in some instances. Idk, buy a film camera and continue to shoot and master the craft of photography.
