FRIGIDAIRE CHEST FREEZER PURCHASE -- MADE IN CHINA
After reviewing the web to find what company sold small chest freezers that were not made in China (to avoid any possible slave labor in production), I settled on a well known brand, Frigidaire (owned by Electrolux) that was reported to make their refrigeration appliances dominantly in North America. I paid about $40 more for the Frigidaire (EFRF7005-6COM) than the similar China chest freezers flooding major stores in my area. Surprisingly, the web-ordered freezer came with the Made In China label. Also, the Frigidaire website for registering new appliances does not recognize the model I purchased.
