Philips Wake-Up Light Alarm Clock with Colored Sunrise/Sunset Simulation HF3520

It really works! Well worth it!

Absolutely wonderful! This light has helped my morning routine start off much more easily. Contrary to some reviews I've seen, I don't find it complicated to use, or have difficulty pressing the button I want. After plugging it in, I spent just a few minutes with the manual, and had it set exactly how I wanted it. I use it only as a light, not for the alarm sounds (I found them to be too relaxing, they make me feel sleepy instead of more awake). The gradual brightening primes me to wake up as the time for my alarm approaches. And when my phone alarm starts playing music, my sleepy brain thinks the sun is shining in, even when it's still dark out. I'm able to wake up before the sun and get moving much more easily than I ever have! There are two potential issues (neither of which outweigh the benefits for me). 1 - The LEDs give a little bit of "motion flicker," not a lot but enough to be noticeable. When this is the only source of light in a room, movement looks a bit staccato. 2 - There is no battery backup, so alarms, etc have to be reset in the event of a power loss. Overall, this lamp is one of the best purchases I've ever made! I was skeptical of the claims of easier wake ups, but it's exactly as good as advertised.
