    Item has generic packaging but appeared new as delivered. Item installed successfully on my 2013 Chevy Avalanche and is very effective at dampening the tailgate drop. Piston begins damping at about 1/2 open, then soft open the rest of the way. Seller was very responsive to my inquiries. That said, it would appear that this is not competitively priced, and to charge an additional $10 for shpg seems excessive. I went ahead with the installation after the seller responded to my concerns.
