An Actor's Revenge satisfies film lovers on every level, bubbles and blood!
Satisfying on every level. Can be viewed over and over again with something learned every time. A feast for the senses; An Actor's Revenge melds peerless Japanese design with 1960s modernity.
Bubblegum pink and blood red: the film juxtaposes surprising color in exquisite cinematography. The soundtrack uses traditional Japanese instruments koto and samisen, then shocks with syrupy orchestral strings that mimic Hollywood's composers.
Last, but not least: the movie delivers cultural and historical information. Curious about shoguns? Or need inspiration for a medieval costume? There's an entire lifetime's worth of material here, just waiting to be stolen.
