Most SOLID Transformer I've played with
I am really curious about WeiJiang's models now after this guy. He really was a very difficult transformation, perhaps the hardest for me yet. Still I did it and yep, totally used the instructions for one of the very rare times in my life! That said, the instructions do make sense for the most part. There was only one or two parts that were confusing and I just winged it by looking to another later step and figured it out. Still this is awesome and surprisingly VERY sturdy during the whole process for something that would appear to be so delicate. The transformation really goes to show the sheer amount of engineering and you might just flip and sit in awe when you split the cab and do something I'm sure you'd never expect to do when creating the chest section. Brilliance and I won't spoil the fun !
So why so surprised and wanting other WeiJiang specific models? This guy is the most sturdiest model I've ever worked with. I've got him bent backwards (he's getting attacked by a face hugger... Imagine what that movie would be like?) where normally any model would fall but the sheer strength and ZERO slack in every joint allows me to do this. If there was just one bit of slack on any of the joints, he'd topple over immediately. You could almost give this to a toddler and he'd probably survive minus a couple parts on the back and shoulder they'd probably break off. Don't do it! but if if you do have younger kid, this would be one of your collection they really could play with while you don't cringe.
The detail of the paint and the parts is exceptional as well. I truly wish all transformers had this degree of articulation, rigidity, and detail. I really think this guy just set a bar that noone might ever surpass simply because they're too lazy/cheap/greedy to do so. Can't blame em too much, but still, this degree of quality is truly wonderful reprise to the half arsed or less quality in nearly every other toy/model.

Can't go wrong!
If you have the Takara Tomy or Hasbro Devastator then this is an excellent upgrade! Everything went together nicely and it all works very well. The shoulders have a lot more range of motion and they look like arms when extended, not like some folding block.
I did have one issue with a thumb joint that's not that solid in the hand but eh whatever since it is easily fixable.
Very pleased and if I chance to go back in time and get something else, I wouldn't hesitate to make the same purchase.
