NOT RELIABLE - Tested OK when first installed; FAILED within 2 weeks

Bought two at the same time, #1 for immediate use, #2 as a spare. PROBLEM: Installed #1 and two weeks later it failed -- (1) Despite having the oven dial set at "off," the control would not stay completely off which caused the oven flame to cycle on/off/on/off endlessly ... and the oven temperature never dropped below 130 to 150 degrees; and (2) With the oven dial set at 200 degrees, the temperature soared WAY above 400 degrees. CURE: Installed spare control #2 and tossed the bad #1 in the trash. Ordered one more (#3) to keep as a spare. REPORT: 4 weeks later, control #2 seems to be working OK. We'll see how long it lasts.

Wheel Lug Nut Dorman 611-074

Loose Covers = POOR Construction

August 2016. I bought six Dorman lug nuts for my mini-van. Each consists of a hardened nut (gold color metal) with an attached chrome cover (silver color metal). They arrived, looked nice...just like the photo...and seemed to be the same as my van's 14-year old originals. But, ALL six of the decorative chrome covers came loose and fell off as soon as each lug nut was tightened onto its wheel stud. AARRGGH! Not able to drive safely without lug nuts, I used epoxy glue to stick the covers back on (instead of returning my purchase to the seller). I wonder whether the glue will last for another 14-years, or if it will hold on during the next tire rotation(s). NOT recommended. BAD value. POOR quality. [Dorman wheel lug nut 611-074]
