Hard to understand why these aren't used on everything!

Elegantly efficient with utilitarian styling, this latch does well drawing a hatch closed, is easily installed, and is ruggedly built. The quarter turn action and the bail handle positioning are both simple, positive, and use parts that will simply not fail. This is a great design, well made, and well explained. Having never installed one of these before, I used a scrap of my hatch material and did a mock up, per the manufacturer's directions. I then proceeded to install two of these without incident or back tracking. Too bad all in life is not so simple, neatly made, and reliable as are these latches. I couldn't be happier with the two I now have in use.
