a subtle nightmare
endtroducing... is a pinnacle postmodern achievement. created "by hand" josh davis seamlessly took other peoples' music and made it his own. doing this now isn't so remarkable, but this was released in 1996 back when you were still running windows 95. listening to this record during the day seems to organize the clutter and chaos into a context that, though still nonsensical, provides some sort of hope from the multalities soaking us up. listening to it at night, whilst falling asleep, and it's a concoction likely to produce scary present men you can't see in your dreams. i won't compare this to anything because everything else deserves to be compared to this. easily one of the best records ever released.
