Very good gimbal with a few minor annoyances
The Crane 2 does a great job of stabilizing my camera.
It's easy to balance - albeit the clamping mechanisms for locking and unlocking the arm-extensions would be better if they needed less rotation to go from fully locked to unlocked and if in the unlocked position the act of extending (or contracting) each arm was dampened.
The follow focus works well. There is almost no lag between twisting the control wheel and changing the focus of the lens. However I did find the location of the follow focus wheel to be somewhat awkward. This is a heavy gimbal and it supports reasonably heavy cameras (at least by DSLR standards), so it's really better if you can get two hands on the gimbal. Particularly if what you're shooting requires holding the gimbal horizontally rather then vertically. So having to take your left hand away from a position to support the gimbal in order to make smooth focus pulls is less than ideal.
The batteries last a long time, are of a fairly common type and are easily replaceable.
All in all, I think it's a great gimbal, in spite of the criticisms I have made above.

Low price and large size are the best features
These represent good value but there are a few things about them that frustrate me.
They are a little wider than I'd like but can always be flagged or masked...
The speedring is generic, it has lots of holes and clearly is used for many different softboxs - there is nothing on it that indicates which holes to use for the stripboxes and no instructions were included.
Once the rods are inserted into the speedring, they are seriously difficult to get back out - I can't get the first rod out by hand and have resorted to gripping the rod with both hands and pushing the speedring away with my foot. It's a violent procedure and will probably lead to an early death for this stripboxes.

More of a luxury than a most have lens, very sharp, poor at manual focus
3 of 3 found this helpful The good news is that this lens is very sharp and renders the out of focus areas very nicely.
The bad news is that trying to manually focus this lens is a real pain. This is why it's a 4-star lens for me and not a 5-star lens. I was shooting at night with this lens recently and my model was being lit by a flash without a modeling light, it was too dark for auto-focus but I usually have no problem with manual focus but with this lens it took me quite a while to even figure out if I was focused in front of the model or behind her.
Whether this lens is a good value is something you'll have to decide for yourself. If you're planning on shooting portraits, the focal length is long enough that you'll either need to be outside or in a reasonably large room indoors - for that reason I know a lot of people who buy this lens end up not using it very often. On the other hand I've heard people who shoot stage performances or indoor sports say that this is a go to lens.
ebay is also asking whether this lens is durable. Honestly I don't know; I only got it a few days ago. I suspect it's about as durable as any other micro-four-thirds lens. I certainly haven't done any destructive testing but if you drop it on to concrete from waist level, it will probably break.
