Low cost - High quality - Easy to use
We already had an Epson projector, this thing must be 12 years old by now. It's low res, low contrast and not very bright. But it's big and bold and it worked in a pinch.
I looked and watched reviews and waited and finally settled on the TW5300 for it's full HD and 3d support.
It arrived in a neat little box (included a nice long power cable) and a remote with a lot of buttons. Lots of projectors have tiny remotes with just a "menu" button and some navigation keys but the TW 5300 has buttons for everything. It's nice and simple to make adjustments on the fly as you set it up.
It's got a front foot and two at the rear so you can easily tilt it up or down as needed, depending on where the wall is.
We fired it up, connected the PS3 and picked out the trailer for Planes - Fire and Rescue.
The kids loved it, and frankly I was blown away. The colours were rich and vibrant, contrast was great (even on a white wall), it was flicker free and extremely bright. And most surprising of all, the built in speaker had a decent range and no distortion. It'll cover the kids watching a movie for sure.
I've got some 3d glasses on the way so can't comment on that component yet, but everything else has been an amazing experience. Compared to projectors I've looked at for 4x the price, this is an amazing piece of machinery and well worth picking up on sale.
