It's designed well and works easily.

I bought this for a 94 chevy 1500 that was inexpensive but needed work and it was missing the ratchet for the spare tire spike/lug wrench.

Not 1/2" NPT

I tried to connect 1/2" fittings to this but the threads are not tapered NPT.

works as it should with a grounded plug

The previous units didn't have a ground plug, but this one does and so you can't reverse polarity. I like that! It's a safety thing! The unit stays cool as others would get uncomfortably hot!
