Wouldn't buy anything else
I have been buying and using these for years. Wouldn't buy anything else. Coffee addict. I am always disappointed when I visit family - friends and they make a coffee with their whizz bang fancy machines that must have cost thousands. Teaches one to be polite to the less fortunate I suppose. Occasionally one may buy a cup of coffee that is pretty good, the exception rather than the rule, and rarely as hot as with the Kambrook, that gives a real good hot rich cup every time.
True the frother doesn't work if you're into cappuccinos. Bit of a gimmick on the most expensive machines as well. It is coffee that I'm after. (Also good to boil water for a single cup of tea, or a single cup of anything.)
Only problem is that after a while, a couple of years, the rubber washer wears out. Haven't figured how to replace it. At $70 it doesn't matter!
