Sega CD Baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sega CD is a HUGE milestone in the history of Video Game evolution. CD’s were becoming in vogue in the late 80’s early 90’s and to have video games run on CD’s allowed for much cheaper production of games plus CD quality sound which killed anything by a cartridge (Neo Geo Excluded of course).
The Sega Cd made it’s North American debut in January 1992. It was basically a CD based Genesis but had much more memory (hundreds of Genesis cartridges could fit on one CD!!!) A lot of Genesis Games were released on CD which included new music and slightly better graphics, more animation (Batman Returns and Cliffhanger had pseudo 3D graphics added to the cartridge counter part). One reason alone to own the Sega CD was SONIC CD, the best in the series by far. One exclusive game that was published for the Mega-CD is the now-famous Sonic the Hedgehog CD, or Sonic CD. Sonic CD has been praised for its visual style, superior CD sound, and an innovative time-travel mechanic, allowing players to explore four versions of each stage.
A criticism of the software library was that most titles consisted of "shovelware," in which a developer takes an existing title and adds minor new content (usually a CD audio soundtrack, or video sequences) while not expanding the original game itself. Few titles received major changes, but two exceptions were Earthworm Jim which featured additional levels and game changes, and The Amazing Spider-Man vs. The Kingpin, which featured many changes, which drastically restructured the game, making it less linear, and adding animated cut scenes.
The system also brought in a lot of FMV movie style games where you chose the direction of the game or had a shooter type game where you shot at a movie screen.
That being said it was the 1st major CD effort by a top tear company and the system not only outputs amazing stereo sound but many games can be had for VERY cheap.

A game saver and a must
With so many free and large Xbox games I used this to fill my Xbox up and to have a backup. 4TB is quite large and runs fast too.
