a new (or used but working) audio/usb fixed the issue with my laptop not powering on.

Used but perfectly functional. This usb port fixed the issue with my laptop not powering on. This may be a common issue with the 7559 and if you have had a dodgy usb port before loosing the ability to power on at all, then I would sugest that this could fix your problem. The most difficult issue with the repair was prying the plastic laptop case open. Be patient and make sure you press those tabs as you separate the case.
