Coffee tastes like the way it should :).
I'm really happy with this product, and hope those planning to buy one, find the comments below helpful.
Pros:
Because of the ceramic coating inside, coffee retains its taste. In my experience, taste was very different in those with steel surface (did not enjoy it at all), or non-stick coating interior (taste of coffee was different).
The wide mouth allows you to experience the smell of coffee while drinking it. Nothing beats the smell of fresh espresso.
The lid is leak proof, and overall the mug is sturdy and the the material used to coat its outside surface provides a good grip to it.
So long as you close the lid in-between sips (the lid is a screwing type), it keeps the coffee hot (in my case for around 2-3 hours), but if you keep the mug's mouth open, coffee probably gets cold within 20 minutes or so (the same as drinking it out of a coffee cup at a cafe).
Cons:
If you put the mug in a bag (with coffee in it), allowing movement of coffee within the mug, when you undo the lid to drink coffee, there would be drops of coffee to the inner surface of the lid which can splash onto your clothes (my suggestion: just give a quick lick to the inner surface of the lid and make sure when you undo the lid, it's kept away from you and your clothes). If the mug is kept upright and there is not much stirring of the coffee within it, this probably won't happen.
Some may find the rather thin rim of the mug unappealing (in contrast to the thicker rim of china cups or glasses), but to me that wasn't an issue.
OVERALL, if you're fussy about your coffee while on the go, this is a great product :).
