Disappointing
The motor is too weak and stops when just a little pressure is applied when sharping a knife.

Works as Described
I bought this for my computer but have since connected my Directv receiver to it also. We get a lot of dips to our electric where I live and every time it does my Directv receiver has to restart. This can take as much as 20 minutes,
I no longer have that problem since connecting my receiver to this unit. If you have the same problem as I had, you may wish to buy one of these for your receiver or use it for both computer and receiver. I have the 650VA and you may wish to buy a large one like this if you plan to use for more than your computer. Mine handles both with no problems. I also have no interruption to the programs that I am recording now, before I lost a lot of the program that I was recording every time the lights dipped.
