It is a truly professional tripod for an amateur price.
I bought this tripod because I had to replace an identical one that I finally managed kill. I used the previous one for over eight years quite extensively and it really got a rough treatment. When I finally broke one of the leg stops there was little paint left and the legs have experienced the waters of just about every ocean in the world.
Being 6 feet tall, I find this tripod to be of a good working height. The legs extend and retract easily, even after many years of use and most of all, it is just as rigid as one of the really big and heavy carbon fibre legs that cost ten times as much. It is perfectly well suited for field use as long as the camera and lens are not extremely heavy.
It would be nice if spike feet could be fitted.
