Worth buying the Genuine item.
There are other products doing a similar job however after having a look at them on a couple of vehicles there was no question which looks the real thing. The fitting and finish is very accurate and fairly easy to do. Well worth the little extra money. And no whistles or obstruction to windows like some others.

I’m not sure why im reviewing a second hand book for software that is twenty years old but the book is ok and handy and has nice pictures.
A Pair of Mitsubishi Bosch Alternators Brushes

I recently had to replace an alternator. I paid the $500 for it to be supplied and fitted then asked the repair shop if I could do the recycling and took the old one away with me. I then disassembled it and found that the brushes only needed replacing however they are not a listed spare part and the bearing would also need replacing as a matter of course. I found these brushes which are not an exact copy however they did fit and with a bit of creative soldering and two new bearings it have the alternator reconditioned, tested on the car and fully functioning as a replacement when the new one wears out. Doing this job is not for everyone and probably not efficient for an auto electrician to do - however it is possible and the brushes are perfect for the job. One more way to save money and the planet from more rubbish.
