  I ordered this on 12/25, and didn't get it until 1/4. After I opened the box, I knew this was not new. It was out of the plastic, and the cord was unraveled, and it looked like someone spilled some water or something on the curling iron, but I was able to clean it off, and I turned it on to see how it would work. I really do like it though, so I don't want to complain too much. Communication could have been a little better.
