Great for travel and familuarity without much of a learning curve.
1 of 1 found this helpful In real work applications, the screen is too small. The 32g is the 'c' drive so you are limited to what you can put on it when used as a tablet. The hard drive is built into the base, so if you don't have the base, you don't have whatever you put on the hard drive. The bases can be interchanged with the 64g version if the 64g version doesn't include the 500g hard drive base. The bases are slightly different between the ones that come with hard drives and those without. The hard drive is your standard SATA 2.5" drive and will accommodate any off the shelf SATA hard drive. Remove the two back feet, and the surrounding screws and the drive is right there. Battery life without the base is slightly higher as the hard drive uses a motor. If you install an SSD, battery life is about the same as if you didn't have the base. No motor to power down the battery. All in all the unit is fine for trips where space may be a problem. I'd use a stylus with this one. Due to the screen size, it's a bit hard to select menu items. For what it's worth, the new processor is very fast compared to other models in it's class.

Priceless
I bought this unit to be able to use my multitude of MD Minolta mounts with this camera. Being a photographer old school I ended up with all this equipment currently useless and valuless. Now with my Sony, I've got a new lease on these lenses and can take just about any picture with minimal expense as I already own the lenses. Great to be able to get back in the game but in digital format.
