I will stick to Socket 775, and that's it !!!
Ever since Intel started playing the "New Processor, New Socket" card, i decided that i'm not going to fall for it. Still using socket 775 with an X48 chipset motherboard. Presently i have a QX6700 which meets or exceeds my requirements as a gamer or with Video encoding jobs. QX9770 is a beast, energy efficient, powerful, less heat due to 45nm process, what else you need.I don't need to upgrade in the near future since i have it :) Only issue everyone speaks of is the "Yorkfield bug" which is not much i am concerned about since i have an 8 layer PCB Motherboard. I think the bug surfaces when we overclock, but that's not a big requirement as far as i am concerned. Transition from Dual core to Quad core will do wonders to your system performance since we now have many applications optimized for Quad core processors. I have thought of AMD, but i left the idea ever since Intel overtook the throne from AMD. Go for it guys, you won't be disappointed with QX9770. It's hard to get one with a decent price in ebay, but i believe its far better than buying a new processor, motherboard, DDR3.... Why can't we buy a decent graphics card and BE HAPPY with it instead of all these :) My eyes ore on the latest socket LGA2011, but i surely will give it 3-4 years for an upgrade :) Thanks

Awesome Product,Nice Price - Performance ratio. Go buy it guys :-)
I basically use this drive to run My OS since this was the only bottleneck. SSD prices were also too high when released. Had read enough review on the Extended Version SSD that this is. Quite impressed with the performance. I did not do any benchmarks since all that matters is how the drive perform to my expectations during normal usage. Windows boots up less than 10 seconds (which everyone likes), Programs loads faster, closes faster. I loved the sticker given by the OCZ fellas though. Anyone who see this on my CPU ask me about SSD which is kinda nice :-) Friends have CORSAIR SSD's, but i chose OCZ since the price was less and also it too had the SANDFORCE controller that everyone is after :-) If prices gets affordable, i'll certainly replace my mechanical data storage (For my Games), but for movies and music, i'm quite happy with a 7200 rpm drive, We have real quiet ones in the market now.

Awesome CPU if you can get one in a good price :)
A good processor if you can find one now :) Not a big overclocker (first revision), max i got with air cooling is 3.3 GHz. Provide a a good PSU + good heatsink like ZALMAN CNPS9700LED or Noctua NHD-14 and you will have less headache... I was having a Core2 duo and the new games were extremely hard on the processor. This guy plays them like a piece of cake... Video encoding is very fast compared to dual cores...
