Still Good
3 of 3 found this helpful I must admit I was scepticle about the quality of NewsRadio after the shocking passing of Phil Hartman, which is addressed in the first episode of this season and is quite touching at times. His character was hysterical and I knew they could never fill his shoes. I don't think they were attempting to when they signed on his good friend Jon Lovitz. After watching the show from Season 1, I felt I had really gotten to know the characters and was leery of the introduction of another. I thought Jon Lovitz had some great moments on SNL and he certainly has them in Season 5 of NewsRadio. I think he has some trouble fitting in to the comedic pace of the show, but I can't criticize him for that. I found some of these episodes downright hilarious (Matthew's midlife crisis for example) and welcomed the addition of some great guest stars (Seinfeld's Patrick Warburton). All in all, it completes the run of a great (and underappreciated) show and I'm glad I bought it.
