Great series
Great box set - excellent condition.

Awesome Album - get it no matter what the price!
Coming out a few steps ahead of their seminal N.Y.C. album, this is the other masterpiece that defines their most urbane, slick and exciting sound. If you only have two Steps Ahead records in your collection, it's this and N.Y.C. Brecker, Mainieri, Bullock and Erskine plus others kick off with Trains - a scorcher of an ensemble track, then dwell in the dark side for Beirut. Add a pinch of Cajun influences, some glorious Ellington reworkings and the sassy vocals of Dianne Reeves and you have a remarkable record. This is not 'easy' jazz - it's electric jazz fusion at its very best. So buy a copy and turn the volume up to 11...
