GTX 260 Core 216 896MB GDDR3
I am writhing this review for the card that I purchased but also as a general review of it as well. The Pros - The GTX 260 was the entry level card in the GTX 200 series, which made it a very affordable upgrade from my card at the time. The card that I received from this seller was actually a bit older than the one that I had originally bought. Works fantastic for the semi-gamer who wants it all to look better than his console, and isn't a power hog. It only needs a 500W PSU to be happy. Cons - The only draw back is that this card is not directX 11 and it is a weak card when compared what you can find in its price range. New it was a steal, but that is why I wanted to get another one. Other - I have been gathering pieces to build a newer machine to accomplish what I had set out to do with the my current AMD build. I wanted to get a board that I could build from and I wanted SLI to be a part of that. Well AMD stopped supporting SLI and I was stuck with 4GB DDR2 RAM, (2) GTX 260's(that are PCI-E 16X2.0), a 1000W PSU, and no new AMD motherboards that could use SLI or DDR2. Grabbed a EVGA 780i SLI, another 4GB RAM, this card, and a LGA 775 Q9550 2.8 GHz quad core, and a liquid cooler for my CPU to get me there.
