The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse
    12 October 2021
    Classic for the ages.
Heartbreakingly beautiful artwork and words. "hat's the bravest thing you ever said?" Help!" I bought this to give away. I'm sure I'll buy more.
My Grandmother's Hands: Racialized Trauma and the Pathway to Mending Our Hearts
    03 August 2021
Our learned racism plays out in our bodies, and we have physical and emotional work to do as well as intellectual and systemic work.
Insightful, compassionate, and some things I hadn't thought about before in ways our learned racism plays out.
Embroidered Cancer Comic Paperback Sima Elizabeth Shefrin
    12 October 2021
Heartfelt humor about a forbidden subject.
Deep, rich, quirky, ultimately joyful peek into the lives of a couple handling prostate cancer. Compassion, humor, & honesty about a subject rarely spoken of. As soon as I mentioned the location of the cancer in question, a warning popped up on this site that I mustn't have a "potty mouth." The artwork was actually embroidered by artist Elizabeth Shefrin, who created the Middle East Peace Quilt project (also worth an internet search). I bought this copy to send to a friend dealing with the same issue.
