Value for the price
First I am well pleased with the eBay seller.I purchased the DSO 138 scope from. The product was delivered promptly, well packed and worked perfectly. I will buy from them again.
This is a handy little scope for low frequency measurement and it's small foot print makes it easy to place right next to the device being tested. It is a noisy little unit but displays low frequency wave form quite well and is handy to see if the circuit is functioning. That being said, it cannot compare with our Leader or Phillips for detailed analysis but then the costs is only~ 24 dollars rather than the five figure price of those scopes. I discarded the probe that was furnished with the DSO 138 and used one of the x1 and x10 probe from the Leader because that probe lead is thin and flexible. I was worried about damaging the BNC connector on the little scope which is not of the highest quality and seems fragile. The Leader probe puts a lot less physical strain on the BNC.. .
I would recommend this little scope for a beginner or for some tech who wants to use it for a quick check for the signal of a device under test.
