No good for standing on your feet all day
Although there is memory foam on the lining, there is no bend, whatsoever to the sole. My son wore them one day and felt like a cripple. Can't return them because they have grease from the kitchen where he works on them. Not enough cushioning under the memory foam. To stand and work in a kitchen requires a thick cushioned sole.

Some hidden sins of the Franco regime 1954
I lived in Spain 13 years after the time setting of the book, and the Guardia Civil were still there, Franco was still there etc. So for me it was a corroboration of what had been hinted at in real life while I lived there. The characters were believable (Americans living abroad whether in the capacity of tourist, embassy workers, reporters). The contrast depicted when some of the characters reunited many years later might have been slightly exaggerated, but still, I enjoyed it.
