Not very satisfactory for European travel
The battery is completely inadequate so you cannot take it out of the car to plan your route. I drove across Germany before it admitted to being charged. I had a terrible time putting European maps on. It seemed to require serious skills: it basically bricked itself at first and made me VERY nervous. Even now it has NO voice - you have to watch it all the time. And it has strange errors: after one long drive it now tells me to take a rest when I've only just started driving. It does NOT seem to know about roadworks, even with the most recent update. And the final killer: it couldn't find Munich Airport. I tried every combination of Munich Airport, Franz Josef Strauss etc and it was totally clueless. Finally I found a street address for the hire car company and then it was happy. NOT very handy and it created a lot of stress.
So: you should hook it onto your home network, then it should update itself, find that you've bought European maps, ask if you want them installed and JUST DO IT.

Good stock component
They appear to be identical to the original components with the correct leads and plugs. A fairly priced component!
